SUMMARY- These are (relatively) simply pieced landscape quilts with prominent stars above each terrain. There's a lot of cutting of fiddly little pieces of course, and then you put them together somewhat like a jigsaw puzzle. It requires care, but not crazy amounts of experience. I think someone just wanting to dip their toe in the landscape quilting waters would find this a good fit. This wasn't originally part of my mom's quilt library - none of the landscape quilt books were. I ran across Lorraine Stangness' "Under the Sea" with Patt Evans and knew I had to have more of her work. She's a Canadian, and rural as well, and since she has retired from this business, it is becoming harder to find many of her patterns and books.
