SUMMARY- This designer likes 3D effects in her quilt blocks - and she makes me like them too. You'd never take a nap on this quilt, but boy would it look fabulous. I grew up with lilac bushes back behind the house. When they all came in to bloom, you could get drunk on the scent of them and you could imagine fairy land was just on the other side of them. I can imagine making a trellis quilt with the lilacs growing all about it. I'm so happy to have run across this book and added it to my mother's library. She didn't like doing applique - she was a strip-quilter for the most part, though she did do some art quilts occasionally. If you love flowers in your quilt work, I'd hunt down a copy of this book. I think you'll love it as much as I do.
