SUMMARY- I always type in the Table of Contents before reading the book - I want to figure out what my expectations would be if that was all I got to see of the book other than the cover(as though I were in your chair right now looking this book up to see if I want to buy one). So, when I came to the name of the first design "Four Two Lips" I thought "that's a weird name for a quilt, I wonder what they're thinking..." and then I read the book, saw the design, and had to laugh with delight. "Four Two Lips" turns out to be 4 tulips, and very cleverly pieced ones. So if you were wondering if this book has anything new to offer you in the way of log cabin variants, they sold me on it right there. And then I got to look through the rest of the book. Wow, just Wow. Their awesomeness didn't stop at tulips. My personal favorite is "Seahorses", though I wouldn't kick "Clamshell Caper II" off the bed either. When I reached the instructions for "Seahorses" I found a graph and notes my mom did for "Seahorses", which was apparently her favorite too, so I bawled for an hour, pulled myself together and made myself finish this review. If you are as big a fan of log cabin as my mom was, definitely find a copy of this book. You will love it.
