SUMMARY- I can easily see why this series of self-published books were on the QNM's 15th Anniversary Top 100 Quilting Books List. This is such a fun mix of creative designs for both piecers and applique, with a few quilting patterns added for good measure. I have added the designers' names and a few salient details in parentheses to the Table of Contents for reference.

I got this one off of www.paperbackswap.com and liked it so much I went hunting the rest of them... stay tuned...

...And I now have a set of five of them! I don't know if there were more. So now I have a second copy of the 3rd book and found out something of minor interest. I got into the habit of checking page counts on books and comparing them to what I already have - especially older books often were shorter with successive printings because a printer would only keep all the pages set up for a book for a period of time - then they'd start cannibalizing the type set for new projects, and it was too much trouble to type set them again for successive printings. In craft books, it is worth your while to make sure you have a first edition, because that one is the most likely to have the most material in it for your craft. Well, the second copy I got of Book 3 is a first edition - and it was 2 pages longer than the original copy of the book that I got. So I compared Table of Contents and discovered there was supposed to be a pattern called "Ducky" on pages 34/35. I flipped to those pages to see who the designer was so I could add it to this page, and there is a small nice note tipped in "Due to an error, the pattern on pages 34 and 35 is not included in this book and is not available for publication. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. -Santa Clara Valley Quilt Association" I got a mystery and the answer all in one sitting! Successive printings are not missing a pattern!
