SUMMARY- Redwork doesn't appear to get as much love these days as it used to. It has the great characteristic of not being able to confuse it with any other kind of embroidery - it really stands out, and I think stands on its own. You get a photo of a wonderful example of this presidential quilt from 1910. We've added quite a few notable presidents since then, so I'd say it's well past time to have added to the catalog of redwork patterns. This book is 20 years old as of this review - which means we've added a few more portraits to the gallery. President Clinton was the last to be added to this book - 42 portraits in all, plus 9 historical designs, 3 quilt setting diagrams, and 4 strippy quilting patterns.
