SUMMARY- This holds up very well for a nearly 90 year old book. I have Ouida's other book in the Pitman craft series(in the cloth doll and stuffed toy bib), so when I saw a copy of this float by at a reasonable price, I snagged it. The cover plate is the only color photo offered, but there are some illustrations and black-and-white photos to supplement the text. She offers interesting ideas that are not in vogue now, but I could easily see circling back around again. I think this has more than just historical interest to it, but as I'm fond of saying, your mileage may, of course, vary.
