SUMMARY- I am a texture person more than color, and to me, the quilting is a secret texture added to the quilt. I will often admire the quilting far more than the quilt itself. I was thrilled when Mrs Boyle talked about writing secret words and messages in her quilting in one of her books of essays, and this book actually gave me goosebumps. If you want to turn a great quilt into something spectacular, I'd find this book. She does a great job of teaching you how to customize the feathers to what you'll need, and gives you some great templates of her own designs.
