SUMMARY- If any designer could be said to own an old traditional pattern, I'd say with confidence that Judy Mathieson owns the Mariner's Compass. Her designs are dazzling - and she gives you a great tutorial on drafting your own compasses. If you have any interest in this particular pattern, I'd buy all of Judy's books.
