SUMMARY- This isn't a craft book. This is a self-help book for crafters who want to carve out time for their art. It was written in the late '70's - the height of the textile crafts renaissance. Women were still being shamed over not wanting to just be good housekeepers and mothers, and it was becoming more and more difficult to get by on just one income coming into the household. Jean Ray Laury was right in the middle of this controversy weighing in at the top of her lungs. This was part of that weighing in. I'm including it because I had it, and I feel it spoke well for a crucial time period when "women's work" became recognized as an artform.
