SUMMARY- "Rain Dance" is the quilt on the cover. I loved every. single. project. I'm not kidding. That never happens for me. Sure, I'll like one or two in a book - but never ALL of them. Here's the exception. Word of warning - you gotta already know what you're doing with applique. She gives no instruction on that front. Instructions are minimal, generally speaking. I don't care. These quilts speak to me on an emotional level with my mother's quilts. They will remind you of cave paintings from the art style used, but don't let that fool you. There is some sophistication here, and the appliques aren't just planted and zigzagged around by your machine(a look I hate). These appliques are hand-sewn down every bit as carefully as a Baltimore quilt. This was the first of Gerry's books I picked up on a whim. Now I have to find the rest of them...
