SUMMARY- Having the "Special Thanks" section in the back of the book for easy reference of all the projects and their designers when Sandra Hatch took the editorial reins for this one tells me that lovely touch to most of the other books was House of White Birches' senior editor Jeanne Stauffer's genius at work. Ms. Hatch moved the designer's names from both the prominent places that Ms Stauffer had been putting them(on the afformentioned page in the back, and right under the title of each project), to a smaller italicized afterthought at the end of the project. I was halfway through cataloging the projects in the ToC before I noticed the names weren't simply missing entirely. Soooo, I've gone back and redone the ToC to reflect the designers in the parentheses after each entry.

I came across several projects in here that really jazzed me - Lisa Christensen's "Hmmm," which turns out to be a very cleverly done patchwork hummingbird block. Clever really grabs my attention! I grew up with hummingbirds zipping in and out of the honeysuckle climbing up our screened-in front porch. This was an instant reminder of them. Getting patchwork blocks to be instantly recognizable for what they represent is not so easy. I also loved the "Treeflake" and "Bit 'o Luck"(shamrock,bow ties, and pipes) patchwork blocks Wall Hangings - also by Lisa Christensen.
