SUMMARY- This is 100% patchwork with some jaw-dropping patterns you would assume had to be appliqued - nope. The hearts and primroses are very cleverly and precisely pieced. I wouldn't start with this book, but I'd sure have it on my shelf for when I'd gotten all the beginner's mistakes out of my system.
