SUMMARY- This was another interesting www.paperbackswap.com find. This would certainly be a good book for Crazy Quilt enthusiasts especially. I read the velvet and fake fur sections because those are the two tricky fabrics I have the most expertise in, and while they didn't list quite all the tricks, they did hit all the important ones. So based on that and the fact it was written by two very experienced quilters and edited by Robbie Fanning of Chilton Books, who had a genius for finding the right people for the subject matter she was publishing, I'd say this should go on your reference shelf for those times when you need to brush up on a particular fabric or trouble shoot problems you are having using one. It has a good index AND a bibliography - class act from cover to cover.
