SUMMARY- This wasn't a book in my mother's collection originally. I like books that break down the bones of an operation into digestible chunks, and from what I had read of it, this seemed to fit that need - and I was right. This is a wonderful book that gives a lot of useful information on an important part of the quiltmaking process that often just gets some general hand-waving if it is addressed at all. I was deeply impressed and remained engrossed as I read through it. The information is useful, the writing style is enthusiastic and warm, and I found her instructions clear and easy to read. I think every quilter should have this book on their shelf - after they've read it a couple of times.
