SUMMARY- Mom wrote out plans to make "Garden Path" and left them tucked into the book. It surprises me a little - not that she'd want to make something from this book(they're all gorgeous!) - but that she'd pick one of the few that had applique as well as the patchwork. Mom had gotten the boredom of hand-stitching things out of her system while married to my father. After that, she didn't have the time or energy to commit to something that took that much sustained effort. If it couldn't go under the needle of the sewing machine(or grandma's long-arm quilting machine) then it wasn't even in consideration. THAT'S how much mom loved this book.
