SUMMARY- The '60's called, and they want their tie-dye back. All photos in this book are black-and-white, which I think hurts it considerably. The author did a huge amount of research, and decided we needed to know all of it, whether it was relevant to the task of actually painting fabric or not. Sorry, I'm tired and I just got done typing in two pages of Table of Contents. When I started reading, the binding came apart, so I now have a collection of loose pages in a ringless binder of sorts to juggle while I try to absorb useful knowledge with glazed eyes. What I did absorb is that she will take half a page to say something that could be said in a paragraph, or a sentence. There is surely a lot of useful information here, but you're going to have to dig for it, and dig, and dig, and dig. This was written with the renaissance of textiles as an art medium in full swing and it is clear she was quite conscious of this.
