SUMMARY- This is the second book of Sally's that I've added to mom's library. Yes, the Table of Contents looks somewhat intimidating. No, this book is actually quite user friendly. If you want to make a sampler and use patterns from one of the catalogs of blocks that don't actually give you the full-size patterns, this book would be indispensible. She has the process of drafting the blocks well broken down and clearly explained. I so often simply dive in and learn a process through trial and error - because I seldom find handy books like this to take the pain out of the learning curve. You have the added bonus of having some of her tricks explained for branching out onto your own designs. I highly recommend this practical and straightforward book.
