SUMMARY- This is a deep study of the different types of quilting used over a very long period of history, and the materials used. I'm not talking about piecing tops. I'm talking about the sandwiching of materials to make a composite that had many uses historically. This is a fascinating read, and well deserved its spot on the QNM's 15th Anniversary Top 100 Quilting Books List.
