SUMMARY- I have no idea how mom missed this one - she would have LOVED it. I love it. Ms. Carter has proven once again just how amazing a versatile the log cabin block can be. She adds a little bit of applique to most of them for added interest and it works gangbusters. I ordered this book off www.paperbackswap.com just because it was a log cabin book mom didn't have in her library. Mom was afraid if she hit the wrong button on the keyboard it would kill the computer(my husband thinks it may actually explode!), so I had a hard time convincing her it was okay to browse and look stuff up on it when she came to live with me. She got to where she enjoyed playing Mahjong and that was about it. I think she learned about most quilting books and designers through her guild. This book has tons of clever to spare, so if you're a log cabin block fan, you'll be thrilled with this book.
