SUMMARY- You get the two basic patterns of Sunbonnet Sue and Overall Sam, then Mrs Burns shows ways to position them (or add a foot so it looks like she's running rather than standing). I particularly liked one of the quilt settings she gives that puts two of the blocks on point at the corners if the quilt is long enough for Sue and Sam to be running around the sides of the bed. It works extremely well. If you're looking for basic charm and a quick way to do this on your sewing machine, this is a good book to pick up. Her history lesson is brief.
