SUMMARY- This was one of the books I've added to my mom's library. I grew up in Colorado, so this was a must-have. She did a great job with the history portion! Colorado is full of tall tales, ghost towns, and generally colorful stories. Most of the women she wrote about I grew up hearing the stories of, so it was like catching up with old friends. I really love the story quilt with portraits of these women as the subject of the blocks, and she picked really appropriate traditional blocks.
