SUMMARY- All through this book are little tidbits about Australia, and the staff who designed the projects for this book did so with their nationality in mind. "Down on the Farm" was the only one that might have solicited a "Oh! That's Australian!" response in a gallery of quilts with national themes, though. Australia apparently doesn't have a strong quilting identity like, say, Hawaii, or Kansas. Most of the quilts are patchwork, with some applique on a couple. "Susan's Sunflowers" is such a beautifully cheerful wall hanging, with a brilliant use of themed fabrics. I love the added recipes for morning tea - not a custom in the USA - so fun to browse. I liked the pictures and the stories. You would have to decide for yourself whether that was of interest to you, too.
