SUMMARY- This book is about teaching children how to sew patchwork, with small forays into fusible applique, and scales projects to not overwhelm and frustrate the novice sewer. Projects are for the most part traditional patterns adapted for the purpose of the book. You get lots of photos of kids in various parts of the process, but not necessarily good photos of the processes themselves. I think the theoretical teacher would have preferred the illustrations of the processes with the photos of the kids for the gallery. You get a wide variety of projects for kids to choose from. The instructions are aimed at the person teaching and not at the kids doing the sewing.
