SUMMARY- You get a great variety of models in this book, and a useful tutorial for cutting paper to the ratios(mostly) of a dollar bill. I am always leery of books that don't show photographs of the finished models, and that is the case here(no photographs) - but Mr. Montroll is a long time author for Dover Publishing, and Dover simply doesn't put out poor quality anything. There are certain publishers I keep an eye out for(Dryad Press, Chilton) and Dover is on the list. So instead of leaving myself wondering, I pulled a dollar out of my wallet(I hate carrying purses), and made the first model, a sailboat. Easy peasy, nice and easy, and it looked precisely like the illustrated model. I consider myself a well-practiced novice, since I've been folding paper since I was nine - but I stuck with just the handful of useful models I learned from my first origami book for many many years. It's only been in recent years that I've been slowly expanding my repertoire. I think an experienced folder will have no problems with this book. A novice like me may have to study the diagrams a bit.
