PATTERN RATING:Star Rating You get a wonderful lot of diverse patterns and projects. All the patterns are full-size, and collected on a large pull-out sheet in the middle of the magazine. Pattern pieces are well marked except for the name of the project it goes to. It's on the sheet, but that won't help you keep track after the pieces are cut out! The projects look fun and engaging - handmade rather than homemade, as the saying goes.

INSTRUCTION RATING:Star Rating Instructions are broken down, but they have few illustrations to help out.

SUMMARY: Following their old website address brings you to Madavor Media's home page(they publish Doll Reader and Teddy Bear & Friends). Since TeddyCrafts is no longer a listed title, I'm guessing they have ceased publication, but I don't know when. This may have been the first issue, though it doesn't state this anywhere (not even in the editor's opening letter). There is no obligatory letters column, though, and there is a survey to ask readers what they liked and didn't like about this issue - which you do to test a new publication. You should already be an experienced crafter to make many of the projects given, but well worth the price of admission
