SUMMARY: If you are buying this magazine, make sure the pattern inserts are still intact, since they contain a majority of the patterns for that issue. I did a lot of leatherworking in the 1980's and '90's, and could either afford the supplies and tools to do so, or the books, not both. With this hobby, I opted for the supplies, but I was able to pick up the occasional magazine from the local Tandy store. I was never able to put together a complete run of this magazine until now(though I'm still missing one last issue as of this writing). There are some great patterns throughout, and I found the tutorials useful. Some of the patterns are now badly dated 30 years later - but by no means all of them. "Make It With Leather" was the continuation of "The Craftsman", which was originally known as "The Leather Craftsman." MIWL ended in bankruptcy proceedings in 1985. "The Leather Craftsman" immediately started up again under new editorship.

Leather Crafters and Saddlers Journal have an index for this magazine and Make It With Leather for sale: https://leathercraftersjournal.com/store/about.html

HOW TO MAKE THIS MAGAZINE CATALOG SEARCHABLE:
METHOD ONE(downside is it takes some effort and time):
1. Open a blank page in your favorite word processing program.
2. Right click and "SELECT ALL"
3. Right click and "COPY"
4. "PASTE" or CTRL"V" what you copied into the blank page(it could take a while depending on the size of the page)
5. Use the search function as you normally would. Try to stick to only one word, since authors will sometimes use their middle initial, then not, change names, etc.
6. Trash the blank page when you're done.

METHOD TWO(downside is you have to wade through a lot of HTML code to read the entries):
1. Right click and "VIEW SOURCE". This will bring up a second window that will give you a behind-the-stage look at my coding along with the entries. There is a search function on source pages. Use it as you would the search function for a word processor(see METHOD 1). Close the Source page when you're done.
