SUMMARY: This was an ambitious magazine with lush full-color spread, wonderful bios of each of that issue's contributors, huge fold-up pricking sheet of patterns and each issue came in five different languages: English, German, French, Dutch, and Danish. It was exclusively for bobbin lacers. The few downsides - which may have been fixed in later issues(I was lucky to run across the premiere issue) - the patterns were not named, just numbered for reference, so if you want to talk about a pattern with someone, you have to make up your own name, and of course no two people are going to come up with the same name, so references will be very confused. The first issue was a bit disorganized and so finding the pattern to match the gallery picture was a bit of a treasure hunt. I have promised myself I would learn how to bobbin lace in 2019, and now I know what pattern I would like to try out first - Marjo Timmers' Colored Fern.

They have a website where back issues may be ordered: http://www.laceexpress.com/cgi-bin/web_store/web_store.cgi?page=/main2.htm
