SUMMARY: The periodicity of this one appears to have varied radically throughout its run, and I think it may have "rebooted" in 1981 with a new Number 1. I won't know for sure until I've filled in more issues. Right now I just have the sample issue up to make quilters aware of its existance. The issue I have(November 1995) was weighted more towards articles than projects but not disagreeably so. I didn't get the impression that all the projects were shills for the cloth manufacturing industry, and you got a mix of patchwork and applique and quilting that was pretty even-handed. I'll include more as I acquire the issues...
I was able to nab a copy of Issue #1(1972), and it is very different from the later issue I have - mostly a hodgepodge of traditional patterns and public service announcements...
HOW TO MAKE THIS MAGAZINE CATALOG SEARCHABLE:
METHOD ONE(downside is it takes some effort and time):
1. Open a blank page in your favorite word processing program.
2. Right click and "SELECT ALL"
3. Right click and "COPY"
4. "PASTE" or CTRL"V" what you copied into the blank page(it could take a while depending on the size of the page)
5. Use the search function as you normally would. Try to stick to only one word, since authors will sometimes use their middle initial, then not, change names, etc.
6. Trash the blank page when you're done.
METHOD TWO(downside is you have to wade through a lot of HTML code to read the entries):
1. Right click and "VIEW SOURCE". This will bring up a second window that will give you a behind-the-stage look at my coding along with the entries. There is a search function on source pages.
Use it as you would the search function for a word processor(see METHOD 1). Close the Source page when you're done.
