SUMMARY: This is a mixed discipline needlework digest that leans heavily towards crochet, but has knitting and sewing with a scattershot of other disciplines thrown in to spice it up. By the 11th issue, they've eliminated the sewing patterns, and have narrowed down to crochet with a couple of token knitting patterns included. If you want a great snapshot of 1980's Americana, this is your show. Some of it dates, some of it doesn't - hard for me to tell, having grown up in that time period. I think the majority of it holds up well against the test of time. I really like that they not only give you the designer's names, but a little bio about each of them and a photo. That's Class with a capital "C". I also like that they tried to put something in each issue for all members of the family - it's not so lopsidedly for women and girls. It can be hard to find something "manly" to make for the boys, but you get a nice stockpile of choices from this run.

I only have the first two years of this digest at this time - I'm looking for the rest to fill in.
