SUMMARY- Two of the projects have in depth picture tutorials that take you step by step through the process. the other tutorials are more abbreviated. There's a great chapter at the beginning giving the history, categorization and locations of gargoyles and grotesques. I consider myself a well practiced novice at woodcarving, having done several pieces over the years that I thought turned out well. This is definitely a book I will enjoy taking projects from. It is well researched and the tutorials thorough and engaging.
