Title: The Real Book about Making Dolls and Doll Clothes: All Kinds of Dolls, Easy-to-Make, and with Actual-Size Patterns
Author: Catherine Roberts
Publication Date: HC:1951
Publisher: Garden City Books, Garden City, NY
Page Count: 191
Book Dimensions(ht. x w.): 8" x 5 1/2"
ISBN: None
PATTERN RATING: Pattern pieces are kind of sketchy, need to be enlarged and are NOT gridded. There are very few markings.
INSTRUCTION RATING: Instructions are broken down roughly into body parts and have very little illustration.
SUMMARY- There's a bit of history of dolls threaded throughout the book that I found interesting and engaging, but I'd hate to try and make any of the dolls. There are no photos, just illustrations - even of the historic dolls - kind of weird. Not the worst I've seen, but certainly leaves a lot to be desired.
