SUMMARY- The doll's clothes are part of her body. About half the toys are anthropomorphic animals(animal dolls). I like many of the details on them, but they don't always have quite enough to satisfy me. Instructions are rather brief and don't have much in the way of illustration to support them(so if you're a novice, I'd pick another book as a first foray and save this one for when you have more experience under your belt). Patterns are all collected in the back and bound into the book. Some of the pieces come close enough to the ditch it may be difficult to get an undistorted photocopy, and all patterns need to be enlarged 200%. They are not well marked(no grainline, for one, so see above for needing experience). My absolute favorite is the caterpillar - it has a ton of personality and originality and flexibility. I thought it alone was worth the price of admission! Their alien was a close second, and the frog in beach shorts is fun as well, with its very froggy hands and feet.
