SUMMARY- This is an excellent book for model makers - period. I have a copy of the 2nd edition - there have been at least 37 editions, selling over 350,000 copies! Mr. Frary is significant in the model train hobby because he was the first serious modeler to use latex paint exclusively, and made slow-drying oil paints a thing of the past. He is famous for his weathering techniques - making equipment and buildings look used and lived in. If you have limited shelf space, this is one of the books you should have on it.
