SUMMARY- I normally either rave or rant about one of Margaret's books, depending on whether I really love it or really hate it - I've never been neutral on one of her books. This is one I love! So far as I know, it was her first. The characters are cute and engaging, are easily recognizable for what they are purporting to portray, and the instructions are clear and supported with enough illustration I think anyone could make these regardless of experience in sewing(yes, you will have learn how to sew). They have a retro feel to them(they're fast approaching 65 years old!) but not an offputing one. I was very happy to add this to my puppet book collection. My favorite is the caterpillar, Claude.
